MENTORS

Aisha Porter-Christie spent her formative years in rural St. Catherine – drawing stick figure comics and writing pop star fan-fiction. She’s come a long way since then. A graduate of Columbia University’s Film MFA program in New York,  she has worked in various areas of the entertainment industry and her award winning short films have screened at festivals worldwide. As a television writer, her credits include the Emmy award winning sci-fi drama Orphan Black, Shadowhunters, Ransom and Briarpatch. She is currently Supervising Producer on the upcoming Netflix series The Girls On The Bus.

With a flair for the weird and fantastical, veteran screenwriter/producer Jeremy Boxen has made content from one end of Canada to the other and in the US and Mexico. His television credits including Imposters (Executive Producer and co-showrunner, Season 2), Orphan Black (Co-Executive Producer, Season 5), Killjoys (Co-Executive Producer, Seasons 1 and 2), and Lost Girl (Season 2 Co-Executive Producer and co-showrunner). His feature writing includes the brooding tow truck drama 22 Chaser (Writers Guild of Canada Screenwriting Award for Best Feature Film; starring Brian J. Smith and Aaron Ashmore) and the bloody comedy-thriller Cottage Country (starring Tyler Labine and Malin Akerman).
